During the summer of 2014 more than 70,000 US and international campers attended a US Sports Camps program. US Sports Camps currently offers 24 programs in 15 different sports.

Our summer sports camps include: Baseball, Basketball, Crew, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Multi-Sport, Rugby, Running, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball, Waterpolo, and Yoga. We also offer several International sports camps around the world. Our sports camps continue to grow thanks to an outstanding community of Camp Directors and the dedication of the entire USSC staff. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Each camp director is responsible for hiring their own staff and typically hire in late winter and early spring. CAMP FACILITIES: Our facility houses approximately 15 horses in beautiful stables and pastures. We have an indoor arena and beautiful loft area so that adverse weather doesn't typically impact our ability to have a great time! We have beautiful views of multiple mountains and a gorgeous forest area for nature hikes and trail riding.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Frozen Creek Performance Horses camps have been a staple in the Portland metro area for 8 years. Our camps often fill quickly with prior campers who want to return after a fun experience! Campers experience riding, horse-related crafts, games, and horse education. Kids experience an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is made to feel comfortable and enjoy their time with the horses and other campers. We end camp on the last day with a show for families and friends to enjoy where the campers can show some of the skills they learned during the week.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Frozen Creek Performance Horses provides year-round lessons and training programs. We have two show teams (all-arounder team and hunter/jumper team) that compete in shows throughout the Pacific NW. Students of FCPH are welcome to join a show team or to ride for pure pleasure. FCPH also hosts birthday parties, parents' night out, and other events.

Each camp session runs for four (4) days from 9 am to 2 pm. Total cost is $380/session with 1/2 ($190) due as a deposit to reserve your spot and the remainder due the week before the chosen session.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Two Roads believes that outdoor happiness deepens awareness, kinship and adventure. We strive to provide the tools necessary to empower young women to be confident leaders both in the outdoors and within their communities. We work to broaden their horizon of possibilities so that they have the courage and ability to blaze their own roads in life.

Having served as senior staff for camp programs with Outdoor School, Campfire and Girl Scouts, our directors have decades of experience developing the leadership capabilities of young teen leaders. Campers thrive under the strengthened leadership model as teen leaders take on more and more of a leadership role at camp.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our oldest campers have the option to be our youngest level of leadership. While enjoying the majority of the week as a camper, they will also work with senior staff to ensure a successful week of camp for younger campers. They will participate in leadership training with Senior Staff and their Cabin Counselors.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp Two Roads provides several options for confidential assistance (or “Camperships”) for financial support to attend camp. Camperships are awarded as full or partial credit for camp fees only.

CAMP FACILITIES: Alpengirl campers sleep in 3-4 person backpacking style tents, we practice outdoor living, cooking, and Leave No Trace skills. A majority of our campsites have bathroom and running water and are located in gorgeous wilderness settings in mountains, next to fresh water streams, and by pristine lakes.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Alpengirl Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and has a staff to camper ratio of 1:4 or 1:6. Our camp is highly supervised with small groups of 12 girls led by 2-3 adult female role model Alpenguides. Alpenguides are all 21+ and hold certifications in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Alpengirl is a multi-adventure camp, we offer a variety of adventure activities in each session. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: At MehtA+, we ignite student passion for engineering. Our offerings are catered towards students from Kindergarten to College Freshman and involve a fusion of the humanities and the sciences. We believe the best way to learn something is to apply it and as such, all of our opportunities are application-based.

Our bootcamps give students an in-depth opportunity to learn concepts that are normally taught at the university level, while our workshops serve as a fantastic introduction to a new subject. In order to make engineering education more accessible, our digital kits are always free to everyone and allow students to create something awesome. Volunteerships are offered to former students who are looking to volunteer their time and apply what they have learned for social good, as they intern for one of our clients.

Our college preparatory services, which involve subject tutoring, standardized test preparation and college consulting, provide students the resources they need to be ready for college.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: OVERVIEW

Clackamas Summer Band Camp is a week-long summer music program that's perfect for instrumental musicians of all levels who want to improve their skills, play fun and challenging wind ensemble repertoire, and learn about music theory. Held at the beautiful Niemeyer Center for Performing Arts on the Oregon City campus, students learn from renowned Portland-area musicians in a comfortable college-campus setting, with plenty of rehearsal time. Camp runs from 9 am - 4 pm daily with a Friday evening concert. Conducted by Lars Campbell, CCC's Director of Instrumental Music.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Registration is open to students entering grades 9-13 with at least two years of experience in a school ensemble. Students who play flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, double bass, piano, and percussion are encouraged to register! Conductor - Lars Campbell, CCC Director of Instrumental Music

Lars Campbell has been the Director of Instrumental Music at Clackamas Community College since 2013. He directs the CCC Wind Ensemble and the CCC Jazz Ensemble, as well as currently serving as the chair of the Music Department. He conducts a variety of ensembles outside the college setting, in performance and recordings. He conducts at Clackamas Repertory Theater each year, leading a group of area professionals in the orchestra pit to excellent reviews. In 2021 he conducted the world premiere of Darrell Grant’s jazz opera Sanctuaries for Third Angle New Music. In addition to his conducting duties, he maintains an extremely active trombone performance career in the evenings, performing frequently with the orchestras of the Oregon Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater, and Portland Opera, as well as many jazz performance groups.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Marci Haney,Owner: A native of San Antonio Texas, Mrs. Maricela Martinez Haney graduated from Holmes High School. In 1988, she attended a dance competition where she was selected as Miss American Dance Team out of 300 hundred soloist. She continued her dance career by auditioning to perform with the Guadalupe Dance Company. She has had the privilege to work with renowned dancers Felipe De la Rosa, Javier Villegas, La Chique, Raul Valdez, Ricardo Munuz and the City of San Antonio on the Arneson River Theater for 20 years. Mrs. Haney’s professional training led her to perform with Guadalupe Dance Company where she was offered a job touring the Country.

Mrs. Haney moved to Salem in 2004 and started “The Studio” in 2006 she joined the Courthouse Athletic Club to find a home for her Dance Studio but in June 2011, she opened the Doors to the The Lotus Studio to make a permanent home for both her Youth Dance Students and her Adult Students.

In addition to her 51 years of experience, she is CPR certified and she is a Multi-Certified 500E-RYT Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor she teaches Vinyasa Flow Yoga ,Yin Yoga ,Power Yoga, Senior Yoga, Chair Yoga and Tai Chi. She holds multiple Zumba licenses: including Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba and Zumbatomic. She also holds multiple certifications to teach the Senior population: Silver and Fit, Silver Sneakers and Senior Stretch.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Upward Bound is an ACA accredited, non-denominational Christian camp. In service since 1978, UBC has received numerous national safety awards. Campers participate in activities of choice: campfire, cookouts, drama, swimming, fishing, boating, archery, hiking, horses, mini-golf, remote control cars, crafts, nature study, Bible study and more. The purpose of Upward Bound Camp is to provide on-going Christian based recreational and educational camp experiences for persons with disabilities, twelve years of age and over in an environment that presents opportunities for growth outside the individual’s usual routine or habitat.

The philosophy of Upward Bound Camp is to sing a S.O.N.G of respect. Respect self, respect others respect nature, and respect God. Upward Bound supports the belief that every person is important, created by God, worthy of love and caring service. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.

Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. CAMP FACILITIES: All trips begin at a designated airport. Students explore the most scenic and beautiful places in a particular region, and travel between activity sites in brand-new, 15-passenger vans. We spend each night in a tent, and students learn how to cook in the backcountry—with plenty of guidance from our instructors! They go backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, ziplining, ice climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, inflatable kayaking, mountaineering, and mountain biking.

Fun and exciting outdoor activities help teens grow and gain life skills and a greater sense of self. CAMP FACILITIES: There is one main building, consisting of our main hall, crafts, Bible Lesson room, and Office. Campers meet up with their groups under canopies in the large field adjacent to the building.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Good News in Benton County was established in 1982. We quickly grew from 12 campers to an average of 120 campers each summer!

Our hope for our campers is that by attending our camp program that they would grow in the faith and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ or come to know Him as their Savior if they hadn't already.

The University of Oregon Marching & Leadership Camp is a dedicated place where drum majors, section leaders, color guard, and percussionists come to learn and grow. Enjoy a week where motivation, marching, and teaching strategies become one. Come join the Oregon Marching Band instructors, drum majors, and other exceptional educators.

The Concert Band Camp is a place where woodwind, brass, and percussion players (of all levels) come to be nurtured and grow as musicians. Come join our week of large- and small-ensemble instruction, master classes, elective courses, guest performers, and performances.

The University of Oregon Jazz Improvisation Camp is for instrumentalists wanting to develop skills in the art of improvisation. The camp is designed for musicians with all levels of improvisation experience. Steve Owen, director of the award-winning Jazz Studies program at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, and a team of the region's finest jazz artists and educators work with students at this week-long, work-intensive camp.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Covid Precautions: We will conduct as much of our programming outside as the weather permits. Our HVAC system has been updated to safely provide indoor spaces with optimal ventilation. Our volunteers and staff are all fully vaccinated and boosted. Should OHA directives still allow (in June) masks be optional for indoor gatherings of children and adults, we may still require masks for indoors, though not outdoors. Final determination will be made as we get closer. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Minimally, we will encourage any students or volunteer staff who feel more comfortable masking to do so even if masks are not required for everyone. Per our 2022 VBS safety policy, we are asking all volunteers and campers provide proof of vaccination.

CAMP FACILITIES: Tilikum's Illahee Retreat Center provides hotel-style accommodations for up to 60 guests with comfortable meeting and dining rooms. Our rustic tent campsite, Northridge accommodates up to 56 guests in platform tents with a covered meeting area and amphitheater fire pit. We have a multipurpose building, the Fawver Center, which accommodates up to 125 guests in a variety of ways and includes a single-basketball court, Rock Wall and fire pit.

A Century-old Schoolhouse sits on top the hillside providing a great opportunity for teachers and children to explore and learn together, in an old-school setting. The 15-acre lake with the 93 acres provides groups with many outdoor recreation activities, customizable to meet your needs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Tilikum differentiate ourselves by providing outstanding service, a serene setting and a safe environment. We are member of the American Camp Association and Christian Camp and Conference Association where policies, procedures and standards are implemented to ensure great programming and safety for everyone.

Each Challenge Course facilitator is carefully trained for leadership and safety on the challenge course, providing your group with the highest quality experiential adventure. All facilitators hold a current certification recognized by the Association for Challenge Course Technology. Our Camp Program Director thoroughly interviews and reviews references for each Summer Staff team member. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Tilikum Center for Retreats and Outdoor Ministries sponsors 6 family-oriented retreats: Mother & Daughter (May), Father & Son (June,optional 2nd weekend), Single Mom's Family Camp (July), Father & Daughter (August), Mother & Son (August).

Each retreat offers the parents and child(ren) opportunities to enhance relationships through scripture learning, outdoor recreation activities and just being in the presence of one another for a weekend.

1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. We do this with individual and small group activities with the introduction of fun technical exercises and games that are engaging and pertinent for the age group and ability level. With our unique curriculum youth players will be exposed to the proper technique such as shooting, dribbling, 1v1, crossing and much more.

2) Junior Academy - Designed for boys & girls, goalkeepers and field players ages 10-13. The program has been designed to build a foundation that will help the participant’s progress to the next level. This will be accomplished in a fun, entertaining and positive environment. Each session will be progressive in nature and will conclude with a relative small-sided game that will highlight the topic of the session. Competitive tournaments will be played throughout the week, and be the highlight of our evening sessions.

3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. Goalkeepers and field players will be exposed to an intensive training environment for those who are serious about fulfilling their potential.

5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. CAMP FACILITIES: 7 lodges and 8 rustic cabins, freshwater lake for swimming and boating, pristine stretch of beach along the Pacific ocean, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pit, 6 campfire circles, craft house plus 2 additional outdoor covered craft areas, 3 outdoor chapels, wetlands, sand dune, dining hall, game room, hiking trails, archery range, and 2 low ropes courses. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Magruder runs several different types of programs throughout the year. We hold 5 different types family camps, 2 grand parent camps, 2 younger elementary aged camps, 3 older elementary aged camps, 3 middle school camps, 3 high school camps, 1 camp for adults with disabilities, a handbell camp for adults, an adult extreme adventure camp, an adult needlework camp. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
During our summer season, we hire a Resource Staff to lead activities for summer campers and retreat guests. We also hire summer counselors for our summer camps and two of our sister camps in Oregon.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. As many as six full soccer fields, 12 short-sided fields, and NCAA regulation baseball and softball diamonds are expertly maintained for daily use. Facilities also include 14 newly-surfaced deco tennis courts (6 lighted), 3 full indoor, and 3 outdoor basketball courts.

Campers will also utilize 3 air-conditioned indoor gymnasiums, racquetball and squash courts, training rooms, an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, a newly-renovated performance center, and a video analysis room.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) combines the fun of being a participant with important life skills such as leadership, personal development, teamwork, and communication, all under the watchful eyes of our experienced educators and coaches.

Working with guidance from our camp and program director(s), YLP participants will observe and assist in all aspects of the camp program and daily activities, while receiving performance feedback in a constructive environment, helping to build self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camps are held on the state-of-the-art pitch at Providence park as well as other high quality fields in the Portland area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Recreational Camps:
Ages 5-13, co-ed, cost: $225
Our most commonly held camp, PTFC Rec Camps will teach players the fundamentals of the game and allow participants to grow love for and experience how fun soccer can truly be. Our rec camps hold a variety of stations covering topics such as dribbling, passing, finishing, tactical, small-sided games, individual skills to beat an opponent, receiving, and possession with a purpose. While implementing important soccer fundamentals, we will also use our TREES acronym to help develop campers into a better player and person. TREES stands for Teamwork, Respect, Effort, Environment, and Sportsmanship.

Chara Bros Camp:
Ages 8-18, co-ed, cost: $300
PTFC Camps is proud to present these elite camp offerings with Timbers players and brothers, Diego and Yimmi Chara. Campers will have the unique opportunity to train with and learn from the Chara Bros as well as our staff of licensed coaches. This camp is open to all players ages 8-18 and registration comes with a special camp t-shirt, autographed items, Dutch Bros giveaways, and the unique experience of training on our home pitch with two of our most well-known players. This is a camp you will not want to miss!

Timbers and Thorns Residential Camps
Ages 13-18, separate boys and girls camps, cost: $600
The Portland Timbers and Thorns' Residential Camps are specifically designed to provide an experience of what it's like to train and compete like collegiate and professional athletes. Our residential camps are recommended to all future Timbers/Thorns Academy players, ODP players, club players, high school players/teams, and players looking to play at the collegiate level. Players will be trained and evaluated by Portland Timbers/Thorns Academy, ODP, and RTC coaching staff. This camp is open to individuals, and club or high school teams.

Goalkeeper and Striker Training Camps
Ages 8-18, co-ed, cost: $275
PTFC Camps is proud to offer camp sessions specializing in goalkeeper and striker training. Camp curriculum will focus on developing the necessary skills for these specific positions and all camp coaches have played or are trained in coaching these two positions. Athletes will get 1 on 1 training from our certified coaches as well as scrimmage experience against other registered strikers/goalkeepers.

Play Like a Pro
Ages 18-50, co-ed, cost: $600
Ever wish it was you down on the pitch? PTFC Camps are proud to present the exclusive opportunity to our annual members to Play Like A Pro on our home pitch for one night only. Fans will get to experience what’s it like to play a full 11v11 match at Providence Park. Registration will come with a custom Timbers/Thorns jersey, a media session, dinner and drinks, and the full game day experience as a player including utilizing our locker rooms and benches, having a processional walk out, player names announced, and so much more!
