CAMP FACILITIES: Jockey Hollow Day Camp offers a large "L" shaped swimming pool, Low Ropes Challenge Course with Zip Line, Equestrian Center, archery range, large playing field, flowing stream, and adventurous hiking trails. Six log cabins and activity shelters, a large Troop House and a spacious pavilion provide protection for bad weather days and overnight experiences. Each cabin is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Celebrating our 87th year in operation this summer, Jockey Hollow makes the health and safety of the girls at camp our primary concern. Jockey Hollow is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This accredidation is a thorough review (up to 300 standards) of its operation from staff qualifications and training, health and safety procedures to emergency management. Additionally, the camp complies with standards set by the New Jersey State Department of Health, American Red Cross and Girl Scouts of the USA. We abide by the Girl Scout Mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Jockey Hollow Camp is open to ALL girls regardless of race, religion, ethnic background or socio economic status. A girl does not have to be a currently registerd Girl Scout to attend Jockey Hollow Camp. Our staff are First Aid/CPR certified. Girl to Adult ratios are adhered to in accordance with GSUSA and ACA standards. All staff are background checked and attend a Pre-Camp Orientation prior to the start of camp.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: A 2-week CIT program for girls entering 9th grade (and 14 yrs. of age by July 5) is offered Sessions 1 & 2. During the first week, girls will develop the skills needed to mentor younger girls and understand their needs in a camp setting. During the second week the CIT's will use their newly-acquired skills under the guidance of camp counselors in the units. Girls who completed the CIT program the previous summer can participate in the 2-week CIT II program held Sessions 1 & 2. The first week, girls will focus on one of the four specialty areas of camp, as well as learn safety and risk management and unit planning. During the second week the girls will be assigned to a specialist who will supervise them as they plan and execute activities for the campers and work alongside unit staff. CIT II's will also plan and execute a portion of the All Camp Program. CIT and CIT II's are encouraged to volunteer for any or all of the remaining weeks of the camp season.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: More about the Artistic Director: Erin Carlisle Norton (she/her)
is a choreographer, dancer, movement educator, administrator, and Artistic Director of The Moving Architects
(TMA), an all-female dance company and nonprofit organization based in NJ/NYC. With a movement vocabulary that emphasizes charged movement and feminine strength, Norton’s choreographic work links design and form to movement and space, often incorporating interactive costuming/props. TMA has a dynamic history of teaching, performing, creating, and touring regionally, nationally, and internationally, presented through company performance and teaching tours to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan with the US Department of State and US Embassies, Morocco, and Guatemala, and widely at dozens of traditional and
unconventional venues including NYC’s BAM Fisher, Bryant Park Dance Festival, Triskelion Arts, Performance Mix Festival, Spring Break Art Fair, Ramapo College, The Dance Complex (Boston), Point Park University (PA), Columbus Dance Theater (OH), and
21C Museum Hotel (KY) among others. Erin has taught dance courses at The Ohio State University and Beloit College, and has enjoyed guest artist positions at dance studios, community centers, and universities including Valley Day School (PA), Kenyon College (OH), Pomerene Arts Center (OH), University of Chicago, and Gibney (NYC). Erin’s work has been supported by creative residencies including yearly at Wilson College (PA),
Dancewave as the first artist-in-residence (Brooklyn), and currently at MOtiVE Brooklyn. Receiving numerous awards and fellowships, she was selected for the 2021 Dance/USA Institute for Leadership in Dance and received a 2014 and 2020 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Choreographic Fellowship.
Erin has a BFA and MFA in Dance from The Ohio State University, a Graduate-level Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis from Columbia College Chicago (GLCMA), and is a Certified Pilates and Barre Instructor. She currently leads the company’s pay-what-you-can movement program Community Movement Project in Northern NJ, and hosts and produces the company’s semi-monthly dance interview podcast Movers & Shapers: A Dance Podcast. Erin is also the Executive Director of Dance New Jersey, the statewide service organization for dance and dance education.

At Fundamentals, children spend most of the day learning the skills and concepts of a variety of sports and games. However, it is the sports curriculum "off the field" that sets our camp apart from other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character building, sportsmanship and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the values of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life. Music and drama, arts and crafts, media arts, nature, recreation, cooking and off-camp trips...these are Camp Oakhurst activities available to our campers during every summer camp or year-round respite session (and swimming 6 months a year!)

NYSH serves children, teens and adults with physical and developmental disabilities, including autism. Our campus is fully accessible and barrier free for wheelchair users, including our heated swimming pool, and is only about 55 miles south of New York City. Transportation from New York City is available. While we have a 9 week summer camp program, we also provide over 150 days of year-round overnight respite stays of 2-7 days in length and offer a day recreation program for adults living in Monmouth County, NJ.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

Our Summer Conservatory Programs are week-long (5 day) programs that focus on one or two specific arenas of theatrical craft and artistry, such as acting, singing, dance and/or improv and provide students a chance to focus more specifically on areas they want to improve and excel in or gain a footing in (such as in our Beginner's Musical Theatre Conservatory).

Our Summer Musical Theatre Intensives, which are divided into three-week (15 day) programs comprised of three options: Intensive I (Ages 10-16, Intensive 2 (Ages 13-18), and a condensed Intensive I (8 Day option - Ages 10-16). These intensives focus on the application of theatrical craft and artistry in all major arenas of performance: improv, acting, dance, and voice. Participation in one of our conservatories is a great chance for students to demonstrate their talent on a grand scale, and allows them to develop at their own pace in a supportive and constructive environment , working on material that is age and skill appropriate, while affording students a chance to also push and test the boundary of what they think is possible to help them unlock their hidden potentials.

CAMP FACILITIES: Rustic cabins surround the large play field and provide a cool retreat after fun in the sun. Miles of hiking trails surround the camp. Girls have the opportunity to enjoy nature and spend time in small and large group activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Day camp sessions run from July 6 - August 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday through Friday, for girls entering grades K to 10. Before and after care is also available.

Girls are grouped according to age in units. Girls participate in a program theme each week along with art studio, hiking, outdoor cooking, nature, sports, games, archery (grades 2 and up), and all-camp activities. During their time at camp, girls will develop a sense of responsibility and independence in a relaxed, non-competitive setting.

Each training session (8 in total) will build upon a solid foundation of all fundamental movement and the skills needed to participate in the sport of volleyball. The program may also include some competition or game-like drills, volleyball scrimmages and other organized activities.

Parents will also benefit by spending time with their kids thus enhancing their relations from the sport they both are learning as well as having a more realistic view of the different developmental stages of a player from 5 – 7 years old (Fundamentals) to introduction to league and/or recreational play for ages 8 - 10. Those players who have developed their fundamental skills may move on to a more competitive environment (club or travel local team). It is a very fun, positive, confidence building, and supportive training and learning atmosphere.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our New Providence facility houses large rehearsal studios, dance rooms, and lesson rooms. Our Musical Theater Camp is held at the campus of The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, where we rehearse and perform in spacious dance rooms, 2 main-stage theaters, and choir rooms. We have lunch in a large, sunny cafeteria.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Musical Theater Camp: In the morning we participate in skill-based classes in dance, acting and musical theater. After lunch there is a "wildcard" session in which we do something different each day. Past wildcards have included: master classes with Billy Elliot's (and the new film of Annie's) Stephanie Kurtzuba, master classes with film, T.V. and Broadway casting directors Paul Russell and Bobby Cline, workshop with technical director Brian Lynch, Hip-Hop Choreography, Theater Dance with Laura Chaneski, Playwriting, Poster Design, Musical Theater History and Voice Class.

The last two hours of camp is our Performance Workshop, where we will be preparing for our performance which will be held on the Friday night at the end of each session on a professional stage. Our staff boasts extensive professional credits including Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, regional theater, concert stage, television, film, and commercials. One of our young campers from last summer went directly from our camp to a starring role on Broadway as Lulu in Sarah Bareilles' hit musical Waitress! She performed a number that she had learned at our camp during her Waitress audition.

The New Jersey Jazz Academy at Elefante Music hosts 2 summer camps: Elefante All-Star Jazz Ensemble Camp and Jammin' Jazz Juniors Camp. These camps are unique opportunities for experienced jazz players. Students will pick up solid skills to enhance their school ensembles Both camps culminate in a Friday night performance on the last day of camp.

At Rock Band Camp campers will play in a wide range of contemporary musical styles (rock, R&B, soul, etc.) and will learn what it's like to be "studio musicians" - artists who provide backing for bands and soloists in recording studios and in live performances. Rock camp culminates in a Friday night performance on the last day of camp.

At our NEW Percussion Camp, percussionists will work with internationally recognized guest artists and clinicians in many different percussion disciplines.

Broadway Beginners camp: children aged 3-5 enjoy a wonderful camp experience as singing, dancing, and acting is seamlessly integrated into a 1/2 day of fun!

Acting for the Camera Camp: Here's a unique and fun opportunity to study the techniques used by film, television, and commercial actors. Learn how to make the camera work for you. Each camper will receive his/her own video "reel" at the end of the camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Hoover has a large, modern dining hall, three cabins, five tent sites, a primitive site, a recreation building and full usage of Swartswood Lake for swimming, boating, and sailing. A large playfield, ropes course, archery course, hiking trails and a craft center are available for all campers.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Girls entering grades 1 to 12 can choose from one or all of the camps operated by GSHNJ. All girls are welcome to participate in our summer camp programs regardless of race, religion, physical ability, economic status, or national origin. Our camp program is based on the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Lifeguard Training: Spend a week at Camp Hoover learning the basics of water rescue and safety and earning the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, as well as First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED. Note: All campers participating in this program need to be strong swimmers and demonstrate ability to complete a series of pre-course water tests including a continuous distance swim. Level 1 Archery Instructor: Become a certified Level 1 Archery Instructor! This course provides the necessary tools to maintain safety both on and off the archery range, covering range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans. Level 1 Instructors are well prepared to teach beginner archery programs in both indoor and outdoor settings. Minimum age requirement is 15. Successful completion of the course (passing both written and practical exams) provides a three year certification. (Ages 15+, Fee $575)

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family Camp is the perfect time to bring your group to Hoover and enjoy a day or two (or more!) of fun summer activities. The waterfront is fully staffed for you to go swimming, boating or just bathe in the sun. JCC Camp Ruach is dedicated to your child's safety and well-being. CAMP FACILITIES: The Simon Forum is a modern top notch athletic facility with a state of the art multi sport surface. The lunch meals are prepared by the campus dining hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This is a fencing camp with all weapons, sabre, foil, epee offered. Kids with zero experience entering 5th through 9th grade are welcome. Kids with fencing experience 4th through 8th are welcome.

Camp Director, Vince Paragano, is the head fencing coach for Drew University. He is also the founder of the Bernards HS Fencing Team and the Governor Livingston Fencing Team. He is a multi Pan-American gold medal winner. He is one of few college fencing coaches who are still actively competing. Two of his children were top performing NJ high school fencers.

Camp Assistant Director, Dayn DeRose, is the former head coach for Drew University of 25 years. He is the head coach of South Mountain Fencing in Madison, NJ. He is a certified Maestro d' Arms with the US Fencing Coaches Association.

Camp Head Coach, Jerry Duffey, is the head coach for the Chatham High School Fencing Teams. The 2018-19 teams were the most successful yet in Chatham fencing, winning both the boys' and girls' NJAC Conference Championships, 3 District-1 Squad Championships, 2 District-1 Individual Champions, Morris County Boys' Team Championship and Individual Champion, Santelli Women's Sabre Squad bronze medal and Team 4th, Cetrulo Men's Sabre silver medal and team 7th, NJSIAA Fencing State Squads Men's Sabre silver medal and Women's Sabre bronze medal, NJSIAA Fencing Individual State Men's Sabre 4th, 5th, and 12th place, three NJSIAA Fencing All State Team Members.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Several of the camp coaches are available for private lessons. Several of the coaches run middle school or high school fencing teams in the area and can help you start a team at your school.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SFCC uses a behavioral program to replace ineffective, inappropriate behaviors with positive and effective behaviors. OVERVIEW
Join the Leadership Exploration and Development Program (LEaD) and prepare to be a part of the next generation of ESF Leaders. Discover your unique leadership abilities and gain rewarding experience that will help you to develop the skills to be a future ESF counselor or coach, as well as a productive member of your home and school communities. Through immersive leadership workshops, hands-on mentoring and apprentice opportunities, team building initiatives and philanthropic service learning experiences, the LEaD Program will prepare you for the very valuable job of making a difference in the lives of children.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Reign operates on the spacious grounds of Toll Gate Grammar, which is located within the Hopewell Valley Regional School District.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: CAMP REIGN is a State Licensed Day Camp and accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Accreditation is voluntary and means our camp meets over 300 standards in health and safety, which allows us to provide a greet camp environment for all campers. Our staff is highly trained and ready to make summer a memorable one for every camper.

All staff are trained in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers in addition to receiving over 25 hours of pre-camp training. Staff are selected for their maturity, special skills, entusiasim and experience. Staff are skilled and geared up to teach campers to have fun and create a safe and caring atmosphere.
Each program is designed around a curriculum which is structured to help children live a healthy lifestyle while learning about teamwork, building self-esteem, discovering new creative endeavors, and making lasting friendships!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers in grades 8-9 can sign up for our Leaders in Training program and learn what it takes to be a counselor. Campers will also learn key skills and information to further their individual leadership.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Neil Klatskin Day Camp at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is a place for a child to have fun while growing and maturing through his or her interaction with others. We create a "communal group" where campers and staff participate together. Camp provides experiences that challenge the body, mind and imagination of each individual. Cooperation and communication within a highly supervised group setting ensures the most meaningful and exciting camp experience for each child. It is also at the Neil Klatskin Day Camp that children strengthen their Jewish identity. Staff members consider themselves partners in helping children increase their self-awareness, self-esteem and positive attitude toward adapting to the ever-changing world around us. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT (Counselor-In-Training) Program For Teens Entering 10th Grade 9 am-4 pm (8 weeks) Participants in the CIT Program have the opportunity to develop the skills and experience they need to become camp counselors in summers to come. CIT's participate in special sessions on group dynamics, Jewish programming and leadership training. They develop a close group made up of other teens in leadership capacities and receive support, assistance and guidance throughout the camp season. CIT’s assist counselors with campers in each of our programs which enables them to learn about working with children of all ages. Lunch is included in the fee, and transportation is available.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Neil Klatskin Day Camp is seeking to fill the following positions for summer 2018:

Lifeguards (Red Cross Certified)
Head Counselors (certified educators only)
Sports Staff (including Physical education teachers)
Senior Counselors (current college students)

Experience and a love of working with children ages 3-7. Must be available for the full 8 weeks of camp (June 25th-August 17th) and for staff orientation before camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: Storming Robots is Robotics and Technology Learning Lab consisting of three computer labs for various levels of workshops.

There are 8 to 12 computers in each lab. Depending on the workshop and individual pace, we may set up a team of two or allow students to work individually.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO:
All of programs take on TAG (Talented And Gifted) level:

- Challenge each participant to his/her fullest potential. For example, a 6th grader may be given complex tasks usually given to a 10th grader; but if and only if he/she demonstrates his/her ability to take on the challenge.
Exercise higher order of thinking, creative thinking with engineering disciplines.

- Deliver true robotics experience and engineering, from mechanical building to automation with robotic programming.

- Engage in hands-on projects conducted with engineering process.

- Involve Math applications and problem solving, not just "how to calculate", but "how to apply" under various scenarios in fun but challenging way.
Conclude with small scale of collaborative contests and/or presentation.

All Gr.7+ programs take on Advanced Challenge Track (ACT). - these workshops are designed for the children who desire to pursue more vigorous learning during the summer holidays. Activities will require higher analysis work involving much math application.

All perspective students should read the desired workshop and pre-requisites. These workshops require self-discipline and willingness to work through math problems, and computer programming work.

Our instructors and assistants are individuals who are engaged in robotics throughout the school year, not seasonal.

Since Storming Robots is an educational facility focusing in robotics engineering throughout the year, we are able to provide level of experience and competency in the subject matter incomparable among pre-college institutions.

Our instructors consist of:

- Certified teaching professionals, and those who possess "ROBOTC - Mindstorms Programming Instructor Certification".
- College top-notch engineering students.
- Our own in-house high school students with stellar academic record and experience in robotics. Many of them have earned AP Scholar to National AP Scholar Award, and along with many other achievements. They not only are high academic achievers, but also have collected competitive experience in robotics, such as winning the national MIT/NASA Robotics Competition, and International level artificial-intelligence oriented Robotics Competition. They are role models for inspiring students in pursuing science, engineering, and cool robotics in the future.
- Individuals who carry and perspire the energy of "Trying Your Best" and "Responsibility in Own Learning"attitude.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Year round robotics programs, as well as special competitive groups meetings, and advanced projects groups.

OTHER CAMP INFO:
Many students who joined our summer workshop aim to achieve one or more of the following goals:

- interested in joining their school roboclub and wish to have a kick start in order to increase the chance of playing critical technical roles in their won school club or teams.

- wish to increase the chance to participate Storming Robots' school year roboclub. Our roboclub has almost full enrollment during the school year. We have very limited seats for inexperienced students.

- wish to take more advanced challenge in engineering, and robotics programming.
