CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At Guild Hall Learning Makerspace, we provide a unique educational environment where young learners can discover and explore their interests in various fields, such as technology, engineering, and art. Our state-of-the-art studio is open year-round to children and teens aged 8-17, offering access to top-notch equipment and facilities.

We offer Break, Summer Camps, as well as monthly Studio Memberships for kids and teens. Our camps are designed to be fun, engaging, and foster the development of new skills in a supportive environment. Whether it's robotics, art, game development, design, or 3D design, we have a wide range of camp themes to cater to every maker.

Combat Robotics/Combat Robotics Jr.
What's better than building a robot? Building a robot that you can put up against your friends robot in armored combat! In this camp students will have the opportunity to create a fully controllable robot that is designed and build for combat. at the end of the week, students will put their creations to the test against other student robots! What will you create?

2D Game Design
Learn to program by creating your own 2D game! From side scroller to endless runner and anything in between, you will learn how to bring your idea to reality. At the end of this camp you will have a playable game that you can share with your friends and the experience and tools to make as many games as you want!

Digital Designer
Creating your own character can be overwhelming, but this class can teach you the steps you need to create a fully flushed out, real character! This class will teach you how to create a model of your character as well as all of the traits that make the character believable. You can use these characters in anything from D&D to professional animation!

Tabletop Game Inventor
Games come in all shapes, sizes, complexity, and feeling. In this camp students will start by learning how to think about game design and game flow, working through idea, prototype, and finally making a full game that they made and can play with their family and friends. Students will be able to craft their game using a variety of tools to help bring the beauty of their design into the real world.

3D Design in Blender
This class will teach you how to create an amazing 3D character in Blender! This class will focus on how to create your own characters in blender that can be used for any game you might use! We will focus on modeling, rigging, and rendering your character.

Game Dev in Unity 3D
Make a game that is uniquely yours using industry leading tools while learning the C# Programming Language! From RPG to adventure game, this camp is all about bringing your story and imagination to life, and at the end you'll have a game that is playable and shareable with your friends.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our Studio Membership program offers students the opportunity to continue enhancing their skills and working on projects throughout the year. We provide a guided learning environment with individualized instruction, which can be tailored to fit your schedule.

For Jr. Makers Ages (8-11), we have dedicated times for instruction with students at various stages of completion, The project diversity helps students communicate and bounce ideas off each other, part of community building. So in short when you're ready to start, we will be ready for you. Studio hours for Jr’s are M, T, Th 4pm -5:30 or 5:30 to 7:00 & Sat 12pm to 1:30 or 1:30 to 3pm.

For Studio Members (12+) Our Studio Offers an experiential, free-form learning environment that is designed to introduce learners to STEM (STEAM) and real-world job concepts. Our Studios operate from Monday to Thursday, 4-7pm, and on Saturdays from 11am-4pm.

All Monthly Memberships offer guided learning in Engineering, Design, Woodworking, Coding, Art, and Electronics, as well as free access to bi-monthly Friday game nights. Additionally, as a member, you will receive special pricing on advanced materials and special events.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Are you a tinkerer? Do you enjoy taking things apart and then putting them back together? How about using the latest technologies and real world equipment to teach kids how the world works? If so, then this may be your dream job! Guild Hall Studios (Our Camp Website Link: www.guildhalllearning.com) is an educational makerspace that introduces children and teens ages 8-18 to STEM and real world job concepts using readily available, easy to learn, yet powerful tools and components. We are hiring additional smart, creative, dynamic coding and engineering instructors to deliver our one of a kind program to students in Woburn, MA and throughout the Boston area. This part-time position includes teaching programs during after school hours (4pm-7pm) with weekday mornings and weekends throughout the year, and full day camp programs during the summer.

Buckle up – this is hard work! At Guild Hall every kid and every project is unique. You'll be in charge of leading excited kids through challenging projects using, managing classroom conflicts, constantly learning and collaborating with other instructors. – this will be the toughest job you’ll ever love!

REQUIREMENTS: Flexible schedule: availability during weekday afternoons and some weekends a must during school year, full weekdays during summer months are available as well.

Experience and passion for teaching teenage students in an energized maker classroom or summer camp setting.
STEM related coursework, experience with Unity 3D, arduino, Raspberry Pi and other technologies interest and/or experience a plus!

Pre-employment background check is required.

This is a part-time hourly position, 15 – 20 hours/week (30 – 40 hours/week possible during summer).

The successful Guild Hall Instructor has... Passion for kids and ability to quickly develop good rapport with children while maintaining discipline, and directing the design and building experience.

Comfortable organizing and leading students with multiple simultaneous projects and individual needs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Come and enjoy the vast scientific experiences here on campus while also enjoying the fun and active environment of camp. During this week, the children will have an opportunity to dabble in many different scientific experiences. These experiences will range from classification of the plants on campus to the physics of our playground equipment. The children will spend each morning enjoying a team building activity, a short lesson on the topic of the day, free play, and even some sports. In the afternoon, the children will spend time participating in a hands on activity that will correlate with the morning’s lesson.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: ACA Accredited Nobles Day Camp adheres to the philosophy of our founders Grandin Wise and George K. Bird, who established the camp in 1948. We provide a safe and supportive environment for our campers to enjoy recreation in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. Our campers learn to take positive risks and respect the rights of others while developing positive self-esteem and building long-lasting friendships.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Although we would like to help as many children attend Nobles Day Camp as possible, we have limited funds for camper assistance. CAMP FACILITIES: Located only one hour west of Boston, picturesque Worcester State University spans 58 acres in the residential west side of Worcester, Massachusetts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Attend a camp where all aspects of soccer are covered. Instruction is available to boys and girls, ages 10-18, playing at any ability level from beginner to advanced. Players are grouped based on their skill level on the first day. All positions receive catered instruction including goalies. Individuals and teams are welcome.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our VIP PROGRAM is a program for teenagers who are interested in developing leadership skills. They will have the opportunity to engage in a supervised and structured camp experience learning skills and exploring a possible job or volunteer opportunity. The VIPs spend part of the day developing the skills necessary to lead younger campers in daily activities such as sports and cooking. For the remainder of the day they enjoy recreation activities within their group focusing on teamwork, communication, and social skills

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Moving Leaders Forward offers a mentoring program for girls who would like to continue in the program beyond the summer months. We have a team of mentors who serve as support for girls on an individual basis or in a group. In our mentoring program we offer 4 group gatherings during the year. These are fun, casual events involving; paint nights, cooking demonstrations, pumpkin carving, and themed dinners.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA Camp is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. A week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp location, YEA is designed to be a fun and transformative experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues.

Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun filled environment, we strive to enrich appreciation for Theater Arts through education, creativity, and passion. Participants receive theatre arts training both on stage and backstage which strives to foster each individual's talents and aspirations with an emphasis on teamwork and personal growth.

THE SPOTLIGHT THEATER WORKSHOP was designed not only to be a lot of fun, but to also focus on strengthening the skills of our participants and teaching them new and exciting elements involved in the performing arts. Some of our classes will include acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, improv, and auditioning skills. Also, we're very excited about incorporating film/television acting and production into the workshop!

Monologues will also be worked on during class time so that upon completion of the program, participants will be comfortable using their pieces at auditions in the future. There will also be many outdoor activities, free time, and special guests!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Debate Camp creates a learning experience that is safe, welcoming, fun, and intellectually-engaging. Our program is meant to appeal to all ability levels, from the reluctant speaker to the already-accomplished debater.

We believe that learning is best served by engaging students in an academic experience, while at the same time ensuring they feel empowered to take risks.

We believe that "camp" creates a novel and secure learning environment in which campers feel safe to try new skills, think on their feet, see the opposing view, and to trust their teammates. Campers repeatedly inform us of how successful their academic experiences are - after Debate Camp, largely because they felt emboldened and confident in their ability to engage in discourse on subjects they felt unsure about only weeks previous. " I learned so much" is the most consistent feedback we get.

We feel that debating is not an elite skill for competition purposes only. Nor is it something that should be oversold / overcharged for the purpose of enhancing the college application process. We believe that to have advocacy skills, an ability with rhetoric, an ability to effectively organize one's thoughts, an ability to listen and be heard and to honour one's opponents with effective points and counter-points, are skills that all kids should develop.

As such, we annually review our fee scale to ensure we remain within reach of as many families as possible. We continue to work on funding and recruitment structures so that we may continue to remove barriers to enrichment education.

Moreover, we remain about training in the area of verbal advocacy; to stand, speak and be heard - an area requiring continued attention at a time when digital means provide so many alternatives to this. In the generation of the smart phone, of potentially less human-to-human conversation over substantial matters, what we teach is even more coveted...

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Collegiate Soccer Academy (CSA) is designed for high school students who are interested in playing soccer at the collegiate level. CSA is uniquely designed to provide a fuller experience than the vast majority of summer soccer programs by providing both on and off the field training. CAMP FACILITIES: The main building at Belvoir is a historical mansion built in 1886, one of the Lenox great estates landscaped by Olmstead who created central park in New York City. There are now eighteen buildings on the site including four modern dorms subdivded into bunk rooms, four dancing studios, fifteen art studios, twenty two music studios, five theaters, two pools, six tennis courts, lawns, wooded paths, gardens, and all with a view of the Berkshire hills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Belvoir is an individualized six week educational summer program with excellent teaching in all program areas. The fifteen MFA art teachers offer small classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fibers, black and white and digital photography and jewelry. Girls can elect one or many studio classes. The dance faculty teach graded classes of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap. Belvoir has an appropriately challenging and fun dance class for every girl and all dancers enjoy performance opportunities. The large graduate music faculty offer twice weekly music lessons in all instruments and voice. There are opportunities for recitals, chamber music, opera, and orchestra.

Belvoir has a large theater program. Classes are offered in acting, musical theater and Shakespeare, with many large, quality performances in 4 theaters (2 indoor air-conditioned theaters). The department also offers writing, costuming and all aspects of technical theater. Campers enjoy high level sports instruction in tennis, swimming and riding. Archery, volleyball and basketball are also offered at Belvoir. The totally choice program, the supportive welcoming staff and campership make Belvoir a unique opportunity for young women excited about learning in the arts. Belvoir campers learn in their classes, enjoy camp events, parties, evening activities, trip-days, and make life-long friends!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The campers have opportunities to learn leadership skills from an early age. Belvoir's program is based on each individual camper's choice. Through this individual programming, each camper is learning leadership skills. Also, various age groups have opportunities to lead part of, or the entire, evening activity. Learning how to work together, come up with a common theme, and structure the event adds to the leadership experience.

Accredited Day Camp in South Easton, MA seeks teachers or individuals with education certification to work with children ages 3-14. You will be responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities. Applicant will also be responsible for supervising other staff members. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Spend an idyllic week in Rockport, Massachusetts, working intensively with one of New York City’s top performing dance companies! The Windhover Center for the Performing Arts partners with Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre in July to offer a week-long intensive dance workshop. Sallee Slagle, director of the sumer program, was also a dancer with the Windhover Dance Company for many years, and a graduate of Boston Conservatory where she first met Ina Hahn, executive director.

Windhover was founded by Ina Hahn, who was a member of Doris Humphrey's and Charles Weidman's Dance Companies. Ms. Slagle is the Artistic Director of her own modern dance company, Forty Steps Dance and teaches ballet and modern at colleges and her own dance and fitness studio, Dance Dimensions in Nahant, MA. Once again members of Dusan Tynek Dance Theatre, named one of NYC top 5 modern dance companies, will be joining our faculty, bringing their inspiring technique and passion. CAMP FACILITIES: Modern dorms with bathrooms on each hall, well-equipped science laboratories, state-of-the-art computer and media labs, brand new air-conditioned dining hall, two indoor gyms, numerous outdoor playing fields, 500-seat performing arts center with digital music studio, fully-wired (and wireless) library with over 30,000 volumes, numerous hiking trails and a ropes challenge course.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our staff use professionally-developed curricula and lesson plans to guide campers in bringing to life the dreams that capture their imaginations. Using a hands-on, project-based approach, campers learn and create in a collaborative environment. Campers choose from one of workshops, where they spend 2½ hours each day working on projects they design:

Robotics, Video Game Design, Earth & Sky, Digital Film Production, 3D Animation, BioZone, Programming & Coding, Chemistry, and Start Up Nation

Campers also choose two chugim (electives) each week. This provides campers with the opportunity to explore new areas of interest. Our chugim are taught by the counselors and the lead instructors, who work with our directors to bring their passions to the campers. Examples of past chugim include:

CAMP FACILITIES: A secluded pastoral setting provides the exclusive soccer experience players need to take their game to the next level. Located only 30 miles north of Boston, The Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts boasts twelve highly maintained fields on a large lakeside campus.

Students choose from a variety of personal selections in the campus dining hall and relax in the comfortable dormitory style rooms. The majority of the rooms at Brooks are singles. Students can request to room next to a friend. We will do our best to accomodate those requests. The Vogelsinger Academy at the Brooks School complies with all the Massachusetts Genreal Program Requirments for youth camps. (105 CMR 430) and is licensed by the Town of North Andover.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our goal is to create an environment—a GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE—through dynamic teaching and coaching by explanation, demonstration and participation to assist each player in creating a METHOD TO SELF-TEACH.

It is a painstaking STEP-BY-STEP method. We must create for you a crystal-clear picture of what we are trying to teach through demonstration and explanation. You must understand clearly and be able to picture every little detail in your MIND’S EYE. Moreover, you then have to see yourself performing it successfully, and physically feel it and emotionally experience it.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Moving Leaders Forward offers a mentoring program for girls who would like to continue in the program beyond the summer months. We have a team of mentors who serve as support for girls on an individual basis or in a group. In our mentoring program we offer 4 group gatherings during the year. These are fun, casual events involving; paint nights, cooking demonstrations, pumpkin carving, and themed dinners.

Moving Leaders Forward's overnight retreat is scheduled for July 8th - 10th. Cost of the program is $400 which includes room, meals, and transportation from the Boston area.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lawrence Academy is a private boarding high school that offers summer programs. The campus has a swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, 3 indoor basketball courts, 8 athletic fields, a theater, dining hall, and numerous indoor air conditioned spaces. Summer programs are open to ages 3.5-17.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The 100-acre Lawrence Academy campus provides the setting for over 30 day camp offerings for children entering grades K–12 and an overnight English, Mandarin, Spanish, and French immersion program for American and international students. Summer Programs at Lawrence Academy are divided into three types: Day Camp, Specialty Camps, and Sports Camps. We offer nine one-week camp sessions beginning June 22, and ending August 21, 2015 for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12.
