CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1960, Camp Sewataro has been sharing the joy of traditional day camping with boys and girls, initiating them into a world of new and exciting adventures, activities, and friendships. The Spirit of Sewataro creates memories that last a lifetime. Values such as teamwork, fair play, cooperation, and sportsmanship, are instilled and encouraged. This builds self-confidence and a sense of community, resulting in children who come away feeling good about themselves and believing they have something valuable to offer others.

Lunch service is available. Bus transportation is available from Boston, Cambridge and the MetroWest area. Our campers gather from as close by as Sudbury, Weston, Wayland, Winchester, Concord, Lexington and Brookline, and as far away as Beijing, South Korea, South Africa, Mexico and Columbia.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Sewataro’s Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a two-year leadership program for young adults who are interested in becoming camp counselors. Participants attend one four-week session each summer. The program’s objectives are to develop counselors who emphasize learning, fun and safety through a positive work ethic, leadership, and enthusiastic spirit and to provide its participants with a summer of personal growth and enjoyment. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to develop a sense of camaraderie and responsibility.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our camp is a Leadership program for girls in grades 8th through 9th. Leadership opportunities as counselors and CIT's will be available for girls who attend the camp in future summers.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Moving Leaders Forward offers a mentoring program for girls who would like to continue in the program beyond the summer months. We have a team of mentors who serve as support for girls on an individual basis or in a group. In our mentoring program we offer 4 group gatherings during the year. These are fun, casual events involving; paint nights, cooking demonstrations, pumpkin carving, and themed dinners.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have outstanding facilities including the Hart Center with its fitness complex, a newly renovated and lighted Astroturf field, a lighted grass field and indoor at the Field House. We also have a state-of-the-art lighted synthetic turf facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp is designed for those players who possess the drive to become better at this beautiful game.

Our staff includes Holy Cross head men's soccer coach Marco Koolman and assistants James Thorpe and Justin Kahle. We will be joined by top college and youth coaches in the area and some of our current players as well.

We have multiple programs available that are tailored to any players' needs.

These include:

Tots Program: Intro to soccer that allows the 5-7 year olds to experience the game in a playful and inviting way. Lots of games and creativity allow these young boys to explore the foundations of soccer.

Full Day Program: Is for players aged 8-19 to take advantage of intense training. This is a competitive environment where players are taught the skills to elevate their game.

Extended day program: This program takes those 8-19 beyond dinner and adds an additional session each day. Coaches will be able to coach you in game situations and guide you to make the best out of every situation on the field.

Overnight Camp: Offers the same as the extended stay but allows for overnight stay on campus and will have three meals provided to them daily

College Express Program: This program is designed for those in 9-12 grade who want additional assistance, feedback and information with regards to their college search. Test results, extensive evaluation and a DVD with game footage are all things they can use during their college search.

CAMP FACILITIES: The main building at Belvoir is a historical mansion built in 1886, one of the Lenox great estates landscaped by Olmstead who created central park in New York City. There are now eighteen buildings on the site including four modern dorms subdivded into bunk rooms, four dancing studios, fifteen art studios, twenty two music studios, five theaters, two pools, six tennis courts, lawns, wooded paths, gardens, and all with a view of the Berkshire hills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Belvoir is an individualized six week educational summer program with excellent teaching in all program areas. The fifteen MFA art teachers offer small classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fibers, black and white and digital photography and jewelry. Girls can elect one or many studio classes. The dance faculty teach graded classes of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap. Belvoir has an appropriately challenging and fun dance class for every girl and all dancers enjoy performance opportunities. The large graduate music faculty offer twice weekly music lessons in all instruments and voice. There are opportunities for recitals, chamber music, opera, and orchestra.

Belvoir has a large theater program. Classes are offered in acting, musical theater and Shakespeare, with many large, quality performances in 4 theaters (2 indoor air-conditioned theaters). The department also offers writing, costuming and all aspects of technical theater. Campers enjoy high level sports instruction in tennis, swimming and riding. Archery, volleyball and basketball are also offered at Belvoir. The totally choice program, the supportive welcoming staff and campership make Belvoir a unique opportunity for young women excited about learning in the arts. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The campers have opportunities to learn leadership skills from an early age. Belvoir's program is based on each individual camper's choice. Through this individual programming, each camper is learning leadership skills. Also, various age groups have opportunities to lead part of, or the entire, evening activity. Learning how to work together, come up with a common theme, and structure the event adds to the leadership experience.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our building has an indoor space for sports, a kitchen for our cooking activities and 4 classrooms for different age groups. Outside we have a basketball hoop, 4 square and hopscotch alongside the beautiful Forest Park. We drive the children to a Woburn public pool for swimming and go to a local baseball field for our annual ASC Kickball game.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our carefully selected, experienced staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of each child by providing a safe and caring environment. They take an active interest in promoting values of self-esteem, independence and mutual respect. Many are teaching professionals who work in Woburn and surrounding towns. All are trained in CPR, first aid and childhood development. The diversity in age and background of our staff helps to make the ASC "The place where kids have so much fun, they beg to stay later!"

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: During the school year we pick up from Woburn Elementary Schools and transport the children to the After School Club where they stay until 5:45p.m.

During Christmas, February and April vacations we are open full days from 7:45a.m. - 5:45p.m.

LEADER IN TRAINING (LIT) PROGRAM
Boys and Girls Ages 16-17

Teens with the ambition to lead will spend parts of each day exploring and expanding their skills under the direction of experienced staff, with opportunities to put their new skills into action by assisting staff with our younger campers.

Participants will gain confidence, improve decision-making skills, and develop new friendships – all while having fun!

CAMP FACILITIES: At 200 feet, the Oliver Hazard Perry is the first ocean-going full-rigged ship to be built in the U.S. in over 100 years. It is the largest civilian sail training vessel in America. She has berths for 49 people overnight, and with 17 crew, a low camper to crew ratio creates a safe and fun environment. The ship is equipped with a steel hull, 3 masts, with square sails on all three masts, 20 sails totaling 14,000 square feet, and 7 miles of rope and wire. The engines run on a bio-diesel blend, and the ship is equipped with a modern galley (on-board kitchen), central air, an on-deck science lab, a library and wheel-chair accessibility above and below decks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With 17 professional crew and a capacity for 30-34 campers, our program promotes a dynamic and safe learning environment with a 2:1 ratio of campers to instructors. Campers will feel the thrill of steering a 500-ton ship, and learn to work the yards and sails while exploring the beautiful coasts of New England. They will learn safety at sea and perform important safety drills while acquiring skills in navigation, seamanship, sail handling, knots, and the language of the boat. Campers will explore the underwater world through snorkeling. They will understand wind, waves, tides and the ecology of sandy and rocky seashores. Sunsets, sunrises and the night sky will serve as the backdrop for this incredible experience, in addition to marine phosphorescence, dolphins and whales. Teamwork is an integral part of success onboard the boat, and in addition to learning about themselves, and achieving things they never imagined, they will make friendships to last a lifetime.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: In addition to witnessing the natural magic of the ocean and its inhabitants, each student crew will make friendships to last a lifetime. Campers will take responsibility for themselves and their fellow shipmates, learning to work as a team with others as they hoist and brace the yards on the ship's 130-foot tall rig and apply acquired navigational skills to guide the ship's course on a voyage of discovery.

CAMP FACILITIES: A secluded pastoral setting provides the exclusive soccer experience players need to take their game to the next level. Located only 30 miles north of Boston, The Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts boasts twelve highly maintained fields on a large lakeside campus.

Students choose from a variety of personal selections in the campus dining hall and relax in the comfortable dormitory style rooms. The majority of the rooms at Brooks are singles. Students can request to room next to a friend. We will do our best to accomodate those requests. The Vogelsinger Academy at the Brooks School complies with all the Massachusetts Genreal Program Requirments for youth camps. (105 CMR 430) and is licensed by the Town of North Andover.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our goal is to create an environment—a GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE—through dynamic teaching and coaching by explanation, demonstration and participation to assist each player in creating a METHOD TO SELF-TEACH.

It is a painstaking STEP-BY-STEP method. We must create for you a crystal-clear picture of what we are trying to teach through demonstration and explanation. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SPOTLIGHT aims to engage today's youth in the discovery of theatre's many components. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun filled environment, we strive to enrich appreciation for Theater Arts through education, creativity, and passion. Participants receive theatre arts training both on stage and backstage which strives to foster each individual's talents and aspirations with an emphasis on teamwork and personal growth.

THE SPOTLIGHT THEATER WORKSHOP was designed not only to be a lot of fun, but to also focus on strengthening the skills of our participants and teaching them new and exciting elements involved in the performing arts. Some of our classes will include acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, improv, and auditioning skills. Also, we're very excited about incorporating film/television acting and production into the workshop!

Monologues will also be worked on during class time so that upon completion of the program, participants will be comfortable using their pieces at auditions in the future. There will also be many outdoor activities, free time, and special guests!

Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues.

Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. Youth who have participated in our programs report that the camp was one of the most fun, rewarding and life-changing experiences they have had, and, with YEA's community support, have gone on to start school clubs, plan fundraisers for nonprofits, organize community clean-ups, and attend hearings to comment about important community issues.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Drama Camp is run and instructed by Amy Kimball, who has worked in the summer camp setting for 32 summers. She directed Summer Camp for 20 summers. Amy is an experienced Clown, Mime, Performer, Director, Certified Teacher and has had every role at camp from counselor to unit head to specialist to Director. Amy has her BA in Education and has directed over 15 theatrical productions over the years. She will be working with help from a talented staff of performers who have expertise in singing and acting. Amy's staff will go through a camp staff orientation to understand their roles and responsibilities as counselors.

Our philosophy is for campers to create, learn, enjoy and work together all in a positive setting. Drama camp is about process but at the end of the week, the campers will perform for their friends and families.

Learn to program by creating your own 2D game! From side scroller to endless runner and anything in between, you will learn how to bring your idea to reality. At the end of this camp you will have a playable game that you can share with your friends and the experience and tools to make as many games as you want!

Digital Designer
Creating your own character can be overwhelming, but this class can teach you the steps you need to create a fully flushed out, real character! This class will teach you how to create a model of your character as well as all of the traits that make the character believable. You can use these characters in anything from D&D to professional animation!

Tabletop Game Inventor

In this camp students will start by learning how to think about game design and game flow, working through idea, prototype, and finally making a full game that they made and can play with their family and friends. Students will be able to craft their game using a variety of tools to help bring the beauty of their design into the real world.

This class will teach you how to create an amazing 3D character in Blender! This class will focus on how to create your own characters in blender that can be used for any game you might use! We will focus on modeling, rigging, and rendering your character.

Game Dev in Unity 3D
Make a game that is uniquely yours using industry leading tools while learning the C# Programming Language! From RPG to adventure game, this camp is all about bringing your story and imagination to life, and at the end you'll have a game that is playable and shareable with your friends.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Accredited Day Camp in South Easton, MA seeks teachers or individuals with education certification to work with children ages 3-14. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. This week-long sleep-away program is designed to be a fun and transforming experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. YEA Camp New York will have two concurrent sessions! One session for teens with a variety of causes, and for the first time ever, a separate session for teens interested in animal activism (and what better location than a Farm Animal Sanctuary!).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Debate Camp creates a learning experience that is safe, welcoming, fun, and intellectually-engaging. Our program is meant to appeal to all ability levels, from the reluctant speaker to the already-accomplished debater.

We believe that learning is best served by engaging students in an academic experience, while at the same time ensuring they feel empowered to take risks.

We believe that "camp" creates a novel and secure learning environment in which campers feel safe to try new skills, think on their feet, see the opposing view, and to trust their teammates. Campers repeatedly inform us of how successful their academic experiences are - after Debate Camp, largely because they felt emboldened and confident in their ability to engage in discourse on subjects they felt unsure about only weeks previous. We feel that debating is not an elite skill for competition purposes only. Nor is it something that should be oversold / overcharged for the purpose of enhancing the college application process. We believe that to have advocacy skills, an ability with rhetoric, an ability to effectively organize one's thoughts, an ability to listen and be heard and to honour one's opponents with effective points and counter-points, are skills that all kids should develop.

As such, we annually review our fee scale to ensure we remain within reach of as many families as possible. We continue to work on funding and recruitment structures so that we may continue to remove barriers to enrichment education.

Moreover, we remain about training in the area of verbal advocacy; to stand, speak and be heard - an area requiring continued attention at a time when digital means provide so many alternatives to this. In the generation of the smart phone, of potentially less human-to-human conversation over substantial matters, what we teach is even more coveted...

CAMP FACILITIES: The Bridge Center offers a 20+ acres of open space for your child to enjoy playing on our accessible playground, participate in various sports activities on our recreation field, baseball field or basketball court. Simmons Sharks Soccer School welcomes soccer players ages 6-14 who want to develop their soccer skills in a fun and encouraging environment. This program is designed for all player levels, ranging from beginner to experienced. Players will be grouped by age and/or ability to offer them a challenging curriculum that will have them leaving camp with a new confidence and love for the game. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The World Sports Camp mission is to create a safe and positive sports environment, where children from around the world, ages 8 through 16, can interact while improving their athletic skills. (Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf) This is accomplished through positive reinforcement coaching, with skill level training, from high level, skilled coaches and counselors. World Sports Camp allows for campers to choose which sports and to what degree they will be involved.

By empowering campers to make their own choices, we feel that their involvement will be more enthusiastic and they will have a greater desire to participate. Attention is given to treating all campers equally, with value and understanding given to the beginners as well as the advanced athlete.

World Sports Camp draws campers from 86 countries, all over the world. Approximately 35% of our campers hail from outside the United States and 65% are American. The opportunity to exchange cultural differences and participate in sports and other activities with peers from around the world is second to none.

Camp life and off campus activities are an integral part of the World Sports Camp experience. Developing new national and international friendships through sports and other camp activities, improves the quality of life for all involved. Fairness, quality sportsmanship and enforcement of rules and regulations are emphasized both on and off the playing field.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: C.I.T.'s (Camper In Training) This is a true leadership program at World Sports Camp. These campers must be 16 years of age and all but one period of each day, they will follow the normal camp schedule. During that one period, the CIT’s will shadow a coach to learn about the different coaching techniques. By the end of their stay at World Sports Camp, each CIT camper will develop a lesson for an entire period and will teach their lesson to the campers, as if they were the Head Coach!! They will have the help of the other coaches, but this will allow the CIT's to get out of their comfort zone and try something new.

As well, we have a dedicated CIT counselor who will evaluate each CIT at the end of each week to let each CIT know what they have done well and what needs improvement. In addition, because of their dedication and hard work we take all of the CIT's on a CIT trip. We allow the CIT’s to decide what this will be. For example, this past year, we went to mini-golf, laser tag, a movie and dinner off the campus as their trip of choice.

The program is intended to continue the development of your child’s theatrical skills. Workshop lessons will focus on character development, storytelling, acting through song and dance and movement.

The learning begins even before the program starts! All participants will be required to audition on Saturday, July 28, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. This audition is for placement purposes only and to provide the students with the experience of a typical open audition in an easy-going, fun, non-competitive environment.

Participants have the option of bringing a prepared monologue or solo song of 16-32 bars if they so choose.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The week will culminate in a workshop performance that showcases the participants’ newly honed skills. This showcase will take place Friday evening at 7:30.
Cost of the program is $300. A non-refundable $100 deposit should be returned with a completed registration form. The balance will be due at the July 28 audition session.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers enjoy the JCC's air-conditioned, professional theater, art and dance studios, science classrooms, an indoor pool for lessons, and a zero-entry outdoor pool for free swim. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Kaleidoscope is dedicated to making camp a fun, nurturing, educational experience for each camper. Staff include well-trained bunk counselors ages 18 and up who work with groups of campers daily, and professional teachers who lead classes. Programming is organized into two four-week sessions, with flexible registration options. Registration minimum is two weeks.

All campers swim daily, with lessons offered twice weekly with our professional aquatics staff, utilizing the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy methods. Each session culminates in "Arts Night," including art and science exhibits, musical performances from lower and middle camp groups, and a fully realized musical from upper campers.

Lower campers entering grades K & 1 enjoy a balanced day of arts, science, and sports activities with caring, inclusive counselors and specialists. Middle campers entering grades 2 & 3 follow a schedule of diverse activities with their groups and enjoy "choice times" when they individually choose activities. Upper Campers in grades 4-8 design their own programs, choosing activities weekly, including theater, art, music, dance, boating and more. Upper Campers who elect to be in the musical attend for a full, 4-week session. All campers attending weeks 4 and/or 8 participate in "Arts Night", showcasing their art and science projects, and performing for parents and friends.

Counselors
Seeking mature, reliable, patient people who understand what it takes to make a camper's day a wonderful experience. JCC Kaleidoscope Creative Arts & Science Camp is a pluralistic camp welcoming the entire community. While camp is not easily accessible by public transportation, bus counselor positions are available from Framingham and Brookline. Counselors must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduates with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with children. All counselors must be available for the full eight-week season.

Lower and Middle Camp Counselors work in pairs or groups of three and are responsible for a group of 10-15 campers entering grades K-3. They support and nurture campers throughout the day as campers attend activities in the arts, science, sports and swimming. Middle camp counselors may also assist in other areas throughout camp.

Upper Camp Counselors work with campers entering grades 4-8. They teach or assist in classes, activities and theatrical productions. Positions include: tennis and other sports teachers, costumer, assistant tech director for shows, guitar and piano teachers, boating specialists (lifeguard certification required), and crafts teachers. Upper Camp teaching counselors should have completed at least one year of college.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a year-round Education Center with grounds that include wildflower gardens and a backyard for play and a birding view over the salt marshes around us. The Center has a touch-tank with tidepool wildlife during the summer, and has classrooms for camp use.

Joppa Flats Summer Camp is the perfect program for children with an interest in and curiosity about nature. Campers ages 6 to 13 have fun and make friends as they discover local habitats and wildlife. Our days are filled with hands-on, place-based activities, such as wildlife tracking, orienteering, and nature art; games and cooperative challenges; and nature engineering projects. Multiple field trips each week provide full ecosystem immersion for an enhanced camp experience, while small group sizes ensure that campers stay safe and engaged.

Camp staff members are carefully selected for their maturity, caring attitude towards children, and competence in the fields of natural history, outdoor education, and leadership. All staff must pass background checks and receive training in safety, child development, and nature study. The camp director, in addition to having extensive camp and outdoor school experience, is certified in Wilderness First Aid, CPR/First Aid/AED, and Canoe Safety and Rescue.

Our specialists include Arts and Crafts, Sports, Music and Drama, Archery/Outdoor Education, STEM, and Special Events. Our Special Events Specialist leads our campers in unique activities each day, from 20 foot slip and slides, to bounce houses, to our weekly variety show.

Our camp is able to provide Red Cross Certified Swim Lessons 4 times a week to our K-5 campers. Our certified trained staff of lifeguards provide swim lessons that target the individual needs your child to help them swim.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Our camp also provides an Extended Day Program. This program runs Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. It provides campers with additional fun and well-structured play for families who's schedules require a later pick up time.

Lincoln Summer Camp is a Kindergarten – 8th grade day camp that will run from July 3rd – August 11th. Campers’ days will be filled with singing, cheering, swimming, sports, arts and crafts, music and drama, gymnastics, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), as well as daily special events and weekly field trips. We are seeking employers for the following positions:

• Counselors for our Kindergarten – 5th grade camp.

• Counselors for our traveling 6th – 8th grade camp (must be 18 years or older).

• Specialists in areas such as Arts and Crafts, Sports, Archery, and Outdoor Education.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: NARA Camp offers a safe and enjoyable program filled with a variety of activities by trained staff at beautiful NARA Park. Our goal is to provide the best experience possible, and exceed both the chilld's and parent's expectations.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Thank you for your interest in working at Brewster Day Camp. Established in 1981, BDC is accredited by the American Camp Association. We pride ourselves on high teaching standards and the fact that we welcome back more than half of each previous summer's wonderful staff. At Brewster Day Camp, we have fun while challenging and nurturing children and supporting their families. We look forward to adding to our cadre of talented and dedicated educators.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have outdoor picnic groves, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, a baseball diamond and soccer field. Through the woods there is a high and low ropes course and an archery range. Our pool allows us to swim rain or shine, and we have a large gym, several racquetball courts, and an indoor climbing wall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Youth who are eager to learn, develop and enhance their leadership skills in the camp setting, apply to be C.I.T.s. These future counselors train in daily sessions: covering many areas such as effective listening, peer relationships, role modeling and programming.

C.I.T.s work with different age groups learning developmental stages and finding their preferred age group. As a group project, the C.I.T.s will plan and implement a camp-wide carnival.

The C.I.T. program includes a 5-day, 4-night recreational trip to Club Getaway in Kent, CT, from July 15 - July 19. Teens will bond as a group and enjoy boating, rock climbing, group challenge activities, trapeze, giant swing and evening socials. Each applicant is interviewed after registering.
